Ordered takeout. Everything was on point. Beef and broccoli was delicious. Beef with green pepper with black bean sauce was also good and Dai Ching. Our favourite was the beef and brocolli. Just a tad on the salty side; however, that’s also expected.
I had visited this place 13 years ago and had been wanting to visit here again and glad that I did. When we got in, the place was empty so it was easy to get seated right away. We were served with a complimentary cup of green tea which was a good touch. We ordered hot and sour soup, chicken corn soup, ginger beef, chicken fried rice and chicken chowmein. Food came out hot, delicious and freshly prepared. Beef was crispy yet tender and juicy. Fried rice had a great balance of all flavors. Noodles were average and I’ve had much better of the chowmein so probably wouldn’t order that again. Portions are very generous. Service was quick, friendly and very attentive. By the time we were leaving, the tables had quickly filled up.
Great little place. Chicken corn soup had no flavour and was disappointing but the chicken black bean with green beans on rice was great. Excellent lunch special combo.
This has been our family go to for the best Chinese. Food is lightning fast, tasty and satisfying. They run an extremely efficient restaurant. Their lunch special is great too “sweet corn soup”! Keep up the great work ChongQing! Also a notable lychee martini which hits the spot.
I re-visited ChongQing after more than 20 years. It seems to me that it is now serving a greater variety of food. Peking duck was the highlight of the evening. It was on promotion and only cost around $55 for a Peking duck in 2 ways. I would say it was very good for this price. The skin was crispy and not too greasy, and the stir fried duck meat with lettuce wrap was delicious. My second favorite was the spicy and sour soup. Though I was a little shocked when I saw button mushrooms in it (the authentic one didn't have), it tasted just like the one I used to have. Perhaps the chef is not particularly skillful in making Xiaolungbao. The wrapping was easy too thick. Other than that, I'm happy with the rest of the dishes.
I recently revisited Chongqing and it's been 4 years since I've been here. This time around I was too tired to cook and wanted a great comforting meal after my dental work near by. I ordered the fish maw soup. It was delicious! Then the peeking duck 2 ways, came with the rice crepe and the lettuce wrap. Not bad not bad. It was good. The menu has increased with more items. They are definitely trying to keep up with competition. Overall I was satisfied with my whole order. That soup really hit the spot. Plenty of parking all around here.
